Description: Template design needed ASAP for a new web project we are developing. See our attached sample layout. No Flash - we just a template with graphics, HTML and CSS. The site will be an online community with chat, google ads, a blog, a vbulletin forum, podcasts, newsfeeds, surveys and an online store.

We are building the functionality, but need a designer to create an appropriate "look" for the home page and interior pages of the website.

Some of the designs we like are:

• Google Groups
• LiveJournal
• Blogger

We already have a logo for the site. We also have a recommended layout for the site navigation (see samplelayout.gif attached), but need a designer to create a quality template design for the website.

Notes about the design we are seeking:

Graphics and icons: We would like to go as far as we can with icons and graphics like Blogger.com without sacrificing SEO. We also want to ensure that the design is clean and not cluttered.

Color: Google (and Ebay) colors to be the guiding palette. How to harmonize this with the blue and green logo is up to the designer.
Primary...Google blue
Secondary...Google Green/ Google Yellow
Third (for highlights)...Google red...

Design: Site "feel" should seem "warm, easy, inviting and positive" (i.e. brighter colors, not dark colors).

Type/ font: Whatever we use...needs to be large enough for easy reading...no microscopic size fonts. Serif or San-serif?

We would expect to receive a PSD file, 2 HTML templates (1 for the home page & 1 for the interior pages), a matching skin that can be used for the vbulletin forum and a CSS file at the completion of the project.
